Mr. Stoliar retired in May 2005 from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office where he was one of the deputies assigned to the South Orange County Domestic Violence misdemeanor trial calendar. He also handled other felony and misdemeanor assignments across Orange County. Stoliar came to OC from the LADA’s office where he also handled all aspects of misdemeanor and felony cases. Prior to that, Stoliar practiced in a Newport Beach based law firm doing strategic consulting and venture financing, and business/corporate litigation. Stoliar’s practice now includes all aspects of criminal defense (state and federal), writs & appeals and elections law.

Stoliar is not just an experienced “litigator,” he’s an experienced trial lawyer and capable of trying cases to a judge or jury. Stoliar also has extensive appellate experience and has argued before the California Court of Appeal and clerked in both the federal and California appellate courts. Stoliar has spent his life working in business, the law and politics and has cultivated a unique style and results-oriented approach to problem solving. In the criminal arena, Stoliar is keenly aware that good people can sometimes make bad decisions and that a key factor in successfully defending your case is conveying that to the prosecutor and judge, or the jury, where appropriate. Of course, current knowledge of the law and criminal procedures, command of the courtroom and trial skills are key when establishing your innocence is our goal. Stoliar commands all these attributes.
